Steel is one of the emblematic elements in Aldo Chaparro’s practice, originally conceived in large-scale formats.

The smaller version emerges as a way to translate the sculptural gesture to a more intimate dimension, without losing the strength and tension that characterize the work.

By reducing the scale, the steel maintains its formal language—the fold, the pressure, and the transformation of the material—but adapts to other spaces and a closer relationship with the viewer.

The baby steel is not a decorative reduction, but a reinterpretation of the same gesture, designed to inhabit other contexts without relinquishing its identity.
